Tour de France 2019

Pünktlich Ende Oktober kommt kurz vor Abschluss der Saison die letzte große Show in Paris. Die ASO lädt ein und alles wer Rang und Namen hat, den zieht es nach Paris.

 

Vor der Show ist nach der Tour oder umgekehrt. Egal. Schon heute zittern in den Teams die Radsportler, ob sie von ihren sportlichen Leitern nominiert werden. Der letzte Platz mehr wert als der Sieg in der Tour of China.

Für diejenigen, die dabei sind ist es wie Weihnachten und Ostern an einem Tag. Für diejenigen die von ihren Teams nicht nominiert werden, ist es ein Grund den Laden zu wechseln.

Die Tour 2019 benötigt natürlich wieder einen Aufhänger. Diesmal ist es nicht der erste  oder zweite Weltkrieg. So bleiben uns die unsäglichen Schlachtfelder am Wegesrand erspart. Und ich weiß nicht, ob die Franzosen groß auf eine Beschauung des Schlachtfeldes von Waterloo bei Brüssel Lust haben.

Das Motto der Tour 2019 ist deshalb der hundertjährigen Wiederkehr des Gelben Trikots gewidmet. Seit hundert Jahren trägt der Leader der Rundfahrt dieses Hemd. Damit alle erkennen, dass er der Leader der Rundfahrt ist.

 

Natürlich ist die Tour auch Eddy Merckx gewidmet. Der Kannibale war jetzt nicht der erste Träger des Gelben Trikots, wohl aber der bekannteste. Deshalb kommt die Tour nach Brüssels. Ob das Atomium auch an der Toúr teilgenommen hat, weiß ich nicht. Jedenfalls ist dort der Start und Zielort. Zumindest beim Mannschaftszeitfahren.

Ob ich ihnen empfehlen soll, dieses Wochenende in Brüssel zu verbringen, weiß ich auch nicht. Sicherheitsbewußte werden den Ort sicher meiden. Aber haben sie schon Paris beim Tourende gesehen?

Mein favorisiertes Gelände ist eh die weite Pampa. Und davon hat Frankreich eine ganze Menge. Von Brüssel bis in die Pyrenäen geht es fast in einem Zug durch. Zunächst zu den Champagnerläden in Reims, dann ins Beaujolais und später durch Massif Central in die Pyrenäen. In den Alpen sind dann wieder die Massen unterwegs.

 
 

3490 km durch Frankreich geht es wieder. Es gibt 54 km Zeitfahren. Aufgeteilt in zwei Zeitfahren a 27 km. Jeweils eins als TTT und eins als Einzelzeitfahren. Die längste Etappe ist 231 km lang. Die kürzeste 117 km. Es gibt drei Bergankünfte über 2000 m.

Alles wie gehabt. Natürlich wird das gesamte als neues Superpaket verkauft. Der Mythos Tour der France muss ja weiterleben.

Dort findet man sehr nützlich Infos. Auch sind dort schon die Fahrer veröffentlicht, die bereits für die Tour benannt worden sind.

Es gibt bislang 11 deutsche Fahrer, die von ihren Teams nominiert worden sind. Geschke (CCC), Greipel (arkea), Bei Bora hansgrohe sind es drei ,Schachmann, Burghardt und Buchmann. Roger Kluge(Lotto Soudal), Tony Martin (Jumbo Visma), Nils Politt und Rick Zabel (Katusha Alpecin), Nikias Arndt und Lennard Kämna (Sunweb), Degenkolb steht bei Trek Segafredo auf der Liste, soll aber wohl nur im Ausnahmefall teilnehmen.
